Did you know that 1/3 of the water we use in our homes comes from flushing the toilet? Well now there are systems called greywater reclemation systems. How do they work? They take the water from faucets and laundry and redirect to your toilet. So it gets reused before going to sewer or septic tank. Therefor it saves $$$ and conserves a ton of water.
